Gregory C. Stewart – BIOGRAPHY
As a second generation realtor following my parents, Harvey & Patricia Stewart, who each had successful real estate careers spanning over 40 years, I have been honoured to represent a long list of very satisfied customers. I graduated from my High School as Class Valedictorian in 1982 where I then embarked upon a University Bachelors program at The University of British Columbia where I briefly resided at 4188 Crown Crescent in Point Grey. I found that while attending U.B.C. and following my parents Real Estate careers, assisting them where I could, I was drawn to their exhilaration when acting on behalf of their Buyers and Sellers and the sincere appreciation their clients would show after having been represented by my parents. I decided to change my career path as I knew at a young age my true calling and my life’s passion was going to be in the Real Estate industry. As a true Professional and hard worker I have always been proud to say “I am a Realtor®”
I have been a licensed Realtor® since May 1988 and I am currently Licensed with TRG – The Residential Group Realty, servicing the West Side of Vancouver and predominantly The Point Grey area.
Point Grey is very popular with new families that are hoping to raise their children in a safe area outside of the downtown core and who also want to be closer to the beach. There is much more privacy in this neighbourhood and many community focused activities to get involved in. Many home buyers and shoppers can sense the community feeling when they visit the area. Everywhere you turn there are local shops, deli’s, bakeries, supermarkets, clothing and flower shops.
While many people in the neighbourhood will welcome new families to the area, there is also respect and privacy when applicable. There are many parks where you can walk the family dog and recreational centres with exercise class, art classes, cooking classes and fun sports for all ages. A recreation centre is the best way to get to know the people in your new community and Point Grey has an exceptional one filled with fun. For families with younger children and who want to purchase Point Grey Real Estate, there are daycare and child care facilities.
If you are an avid reader, there is a library to browse through. Families that have dogs can take their furry friend to an off leash dog park. Point Grey has a few of them surrounding the neighbourhood. Living downtown in the heart of Vancouver does not always provide people with that great sense of community that you can acquire in a smaller neighbourhood. If you are dreaming of buying your first home or fourth Home in Point Grey, make sure you trek around the neighbourhood to get a good feel of the community and people. You are bound to be pleased with all that this upper-scale safe village has to offer.
There are many restaurants to dine in such as the Provence Mediterranean Grill, Baru Latino and Burgoo Bistro to name a few. Imagine sitting on the porch of your new Point Grey Home that is on a lush tree-lined street and waving to the neighbours as they pass by. There are also local friendly dentists, doctors, pediatricians and senior citizen facilities. People of all ages, young and old, can enjoy the village of Point Grey and discover what being a neighbour is all about.
